This is from the 2023 American Tapestry Alliance postcard exchange. My pen pal and I shared stories about hiking and exploring and she sent me this picture from her travels around her home state of Kentucky. It reminded me so of derelict cabins here in Alaska that I had to weave it. The birch tree and forget-me-nots are a bit of Alaskiana as a gift back to my weaving buddy, Carol.
This piece actually traveled as a postcard, no envelope or protective wrapping, through the US Mail and arrived safely in Carol's mailbox.
